The Wellcome Trust have generously provided for 10 student bursaries. All students who have an abstract accepted for presentation (in whatever form) will be considered automatically, and prioritised. CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS: The Many Meanings of Quality in Healthcare: Interdisciplinary Perspectives

Dear All
We would like to draw your attention to our forthcoming conference to be held at Cumberland Lodge, Windsor, on Tuesday 4th June 2013, entitled “The Many Meanings of ‘Quality’ in Healthcare: Interdisciplinary Perspectives”.
We are inviting submissions of abstracts for oral presentations and posters based on research, and also art/artefacts, reflective and creative writing.
We are particularly interested in submissions that focus on the following conference themes. We are also inviting papers which explore how these themes interact – the tensions and synergies between them:
- Professionals and patients: collaboration and communication in delivering quality health care
- Improving quality of care: management, governance, standards and accountability
- Professional values and their relationship to quality in healthcare
Our speakers are Dr Iona Heath, Dr Jocelyn Cornwell, and Professor Trisha Greenhalgh, and the conference will culminate in a public lecture given by Dr Havi Carel.
